The Coen Bros are finally at it again, they’re set to release their newest film masterpiece (because aren’t they all), Hail, Caesar! and the trailer is here.
Joel and Ethan Coen are back in the writing/directing chair and are not holding back. This big dream, big budget, old-timey nod to Hollywood is already creating a little buzz and has Coen-fans practically frothing at the mouth.
With mega-stars including Josh Brolin, George Clooney, Tilda Swinton, Scarlett Johansson, Frances McDormand, Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill and Ralph Fiennes, this film is set to blow our friggen’ minds.
If you’ve always had a Channing Tatum tap-dancing in a sailor suit on a tabletop fantasy, the Coen Bros are making your very specific dreams come true.
Set in the Golden Age of Hollywood cinema, Hail, Caesar! tells the story of Eddie Mannix (Brolin) a Hollywood ‘fixer’ involved in the production of Capitol Film’s epic Hail Caesar starring the one and only Baird Whitlock (Clooney). When Whitlock, the world’s biggest star, is kidnapped Mannix must gather the ransom and rescue him.
Mix all of this in to a Coen comedy, add a splash of 1950’s Brolin-looking version of Olivia Pope, a little sneaky tap-dancing, and a heavy Johansson Boston accent and you’ve got Hail, Caesar! Behold it’s total Coen-ness.
