If you don’t make music for the love, would you do it for Nissan?
Sydney producer Touch Sensitive would and he’s doing just that, in a new collaboration with visual artist/DJ Ego and car manufacturer, Nissan (yes, Nissan are claiming ‘collaborator’ status too).
In what is being touted as a ‘world first’ the artists will create an audiovisual track made from samples taken from Instagram videos submitted by fans.
The finished project will be performed live at an as-yet-undisclosed Melbourne venue on November 22nd.
To get involved, fans should tune into the VJUKE Twitter and Instagram accounts for clues as to what the boys are looking for, then shoot a video, upload it to Instagram and seal it with the #VJUKE hashtag.
Touch Sensitive’s tip is to post “everyday sounds and visual references that will inspire this track. From your favourite drum sounds to your dog barking, if you think it could be looped, sampled or synthesised then we want to hear it!”
Every post submitted puts the user into the draw to win two tickets to the track’s launch party (provided you’re over 18), and the competition closes midnight Friday, November 15th.
Here’s hoping Nissan get nominated for an AIR award in 2014.
