Following the announcement of their upcoming North American tour with The Used and fellow Australians, Tonight Alive, Taking Back Sunday have recently released their sixth studio album, Happiness Is online.
Celebrating their first release since 2011’s Self-Titled record, fans will be delighted to hear the return of Taking Back Sunday’s signature sound. Between Adam Lazzara’s raspy undertones, and the harmonious relationship John Nolan’s backing vocals provide since returning to the band, tracks like They Don’t Have Any Friends are very reminiscent of the Tell All Your Friends era of the early 2000’s.
Produced by Marc Jacob Hudson who is responsible for the majority of Saves The Day‘s discography, and Mike Sapone who also produced Tell All Your Friends and 2004′s Where You Want To Be, Happiness Is finds the right balance between honouring the original sound of the band, but also breaks into new ground both musically and lyrically.
Boasting eleven tracks on the album, your ears will be satisfied with supremely catchy lyrics on tracks like Flicker, Fade, Nothing At All, and new single Stood A Chance; you’ll be playing this album on repeat in your car for weeks.
But don’t just take our word for the album, you can listen to the entire record below, or alternatively listen via their online Pandora playlist.
Happiness Is will be available from March 18th. Vinyl and t-shirt bundles along with pre-orders are available now via Hopeless Records. For further updates from the band, keep in touch on their Facebook page and official website.
