For a lot of Pokéfans out there, both young and old, tomorrow’s long awaited worldwide release of Pokémon X and Y is more exciting than even Christmas. If tomorrow is like Christmas, then tonight is like Christmas Eve. Oh boy, good luck getting any sleep!
In the last few days the reviews have been pouring in and the news has all been good. Chances are this is the Pokémon adventure you’ve been waiting for all year, and more.
Indeed, X and Y threatens to be the largest, possibly best, and importantly: the most innovative Pokémon games yet.
X & Y won’t just bring Pokémon into a fully animated 3D world, it will introduce new innovations such as the Mega Pokémon, character customization, the all new Fairy type, new battle mechanics such as Horde and Sky battles, improved multiplayer functionality and much, much more.
X & Y will undoubtedly become the most successful Pokémon games in franchise history, but they also have a good chance of becoming the reigning king and queen of all DS games: reports from Japan detail that the games have already become the most pre-ordered Pokémon games in franchise history, and flat out most wanted 3DS games ever at a grand total of 1.26 million pre-orders. These reports are a week old, god knows what that number has inflated to by now and will continue to in the sweet few hours we now have to wait until release. Western pre-order figures are still unknown.
If you wanna be the very best, like no one ever was, then test your mettle tomorrow, in Pokémon X & Y.
