As excitement builds ahead of this year’s Big Day Out, those headed to the Perth show will need to revisit their itineraries. The event organisers have announced that it will move from the gig’s previous home at Claremont Showgrounds, to a new venue: Arena Joondalup.
No reason has been given for the last minute venue change, but organisers have said that the City Of Joondalup has been very supportive and considers them to be forward thinking and progressive (how lovely).
The lineup remains unchanged with Pearl Jam, Arcade Fire, Snoop Lion, Flume, Major Lazer and Australia’s own Bliss N Eso still included on the massive bill.
All tickets for the February 2nd gig remain valid for the festival’s new home, timetables will stay the same and organisers will soon issue a revised map of the new venue.
