Oh sweet Yeezus! It looks like Kanye is making headlines again – although instead of any more stage-storming controversy, West has today dropped his track ‘Wolves‘ during the unveiling of his new clothing line Yeezy Season 1. The song will be the first on his seventh upcoming (yet currently untitled) album.
The melancholy track has a slower pace, a heavy synth bass and background vocals that (true to it’s title) sounds much like howling, as West’s heavily auto-tuned voice filters through with choruses of “I’m just bad, bad for you.” Many fans will recognise the style as reminiscent to his work on 808s & Heartbreaks back in 2008.
The track was produced by Cashmere Cat - who has worked with other big names like Miguel and Ariana Grande - and features vocals from homegrown icon Sia as well as Chicago rapper-singer Vic Mensa.
The upcoming album will also feature his recent collaboration with Sir Paul McCartney titled ‘Only One’. His other collaboration with the music industry veteran as well as pop star Rihanna, which is titled ‘FourFive Seconds,‘ has also been met with great success – blazing its way up the ARIA charts and currently sitting comfortably at number 3.
