November has been the month of Nasty Gal. Firstly, the online fashion boutique and streetwear extraordinaire unveiled a treasure trove of exclusive vintage Chanel and now, is set to expand its horizons and open flagship retail stores. Founder and CEO of the site, Sophia Amoruso tweeted that they are on the lookout for district managers in the Los Angeles region.
Nasty Gal has been at the forefront of online retail and street style since its launch in 2008. Amoruso started out selling vintage pieces on eBay in 2006 and since, the company has grown exponentially, reportedly reeling $10 million a year.
Emulating the aesthetic appeal of style icons such as Rihanna and Lana Del Rey, Nasty Gal is renowned for being a one-stop-shop for clothing, shoes and accessories. It’s for the women who have no qualms pairing a leather bomber jacket with a delicate lace dress.
At this stage, Amoruso has remained cool, calm and collected in revealing any more details about when and where Nasty Gal will set up shop but it goes without saying that it could give another streetwear juggernauts such as Topshop and American Apparel a run for their money.
