My Chemical Romance To Release Greatest Hits Album

Following their disbandment in March earlier this year, there has been little to no activity from My Chemical Romance. Members have since moved onto onward ventures, with guitarist Frank Iero starting electronic duo, Death Spells with long-time friend, Get Up Kids and fellow Leathermouth member James Dewees; and Gerard Way reverting back to his artistic roots, with his second comic book series to date, The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys.

Other members Ray Toro and Mikey Way have toyed with the idea of new bands and solo projects, but it seems they are primarily enjoying some time off for the first time since the band formed in 2001.

While fans have been wondering what to do with themselves now the band have gone their separate Ways, they will have at least one more thing to look forward to from the band, with an upcoming album release on the not too distant horizon.

Rumours began floating around when online industry site, Daily Hits Double announced on their upcoming releases page, a My Chemical Romance album to be released via Warner on January 21st, 2014. Fans have since erupted over social media wondering whether it is a new record or re-release; and there’s no better confirmation than Gerard himself announcing over his Twitter page it is in fact a greatest hits compilation, where he will be designing the cover art.

Details on the record, along with announcements if any unreleased or new material will be featured are yet to surface, but be sure to keep an eye out on the bands website and Facebook page over the upcoming months for further announcements.
