Moschino’s quirky new creative director Jeremy Scott, took the brand’s cheeky and fun-loving runway nature to the next level.
Scott was announced creative director of Moschino in October 2013, making his runway debut at Milan Fashion Festival yesterday. Drawing inspiration from junk food giant, MacDonald’s and Nickelodeon’s Sponge-Bob Square Pants, Scott’s ready-to-wear Autumn 14 collection exemplifies exactly what is to come for Moschino under his new creative direction.
The collection is full of shock-value, and includes dresses plastered in nutritional information, fast food wrappers and a plethora of yellow, black and spongebob faces. As a collection that aims to embody ‘fast food’, fashion-festival goers instantly took to social media, labelling this edgy collection as ‘fast fashion’.
Whatever the reaction, you’ve got to hand it to Scott for his eccentric yet tantalising fashion forward nature.
