Kate Moss For Topshop

It’s been over three and a half years since her last collection with Topshop but it still remains one of the most talked about fashion-meets-high street collaborations. So to much delight, it was announced earlier today that supermodel and über babe, Kate Moss will be teaming up with the high street label for a brand new collection.

While it’s gotten everyone talking, it comes as no surprise considering how close she is to Sir Phillip Green – owner of the Arcadia Group, which owns Topshop. Not to mention, she’s also a front row regular at the Topshop runway shows each year.

BUT before you drop everything and rush out to line up, the collection won’t be available until April 2014. Moss will be working with Topshop’s creative director, Kate Phelan and stylist, Katy England to design a 40 piece capsule collection for SS14.

I have really missed being involved in the design process, and working with the team at Topshop. I am very excited to create a new collection that bears my name … it feels like I’m back home working with Topshop.

A lot has changed since the model last designed for Topshop, especially in terms of personal style. Last time around, the floral tea dresses – that she paired with gumboots for her Glastonbury ventures – proved to be one of the most popular pieces.

She has since gotten married in a John Galliano masterpiece and refined her style. However, as a poster child for the 90s, she has never strayed far from the downtown cool and simplicity that has come back into the fashion landscape this season. So – fingers crossed – we can expect some very wearable and timeless pieces, all for affordable Topshop prices.
