After surviving through two Kickstarter campaigns, the Australian-made GameLoading: Rise of the Indies is available for online consumption.
The project, which started in 2011 on the streets of Melbourne, explores the cultural movement of independent game development and the shift away from AAA gaming. Developers, journalist and academics from over eleven cities in five different countries were interviewed to create a picture of the place of indie games within the industry.
Currently, the movie is available from the creator’s site as well as Xbox Video, the PlayStation Network and even Steam.
If you’re curious about indie games or just want to support some Australian filmmakers, I highly recommend giving GameLoading: Rise of the Indies a go.
