Creating Surreal Dreamscapes Without Photoshop

1

Korean artist, Jee Young Lee has created a series of surreal dreamworlds without the use of photoshop.

Each dreamscape was created by hand within her small small studio which measures at approximately 360 x 410 x 240 cm. Lee Young appears in each scene as a figure hidden amongst the quirky, vibrant fantasy worlds, which were all inspired by classic tales from Shakespeare and traditional Korean folklore. Each dreamworld creation took her anywhere from a week to a month to complete.

Lee Young will feature this ongoing work in her first European exhibition called State of Mind at the OPIOM Gallery in France. The show runs February 7 to March 7, 2014.
