There’s not much Cara Delevingne can’t try, do and conquer. Whether she’s stomping down the runway, showcasing her skills on the big screen or killing it via endorsments, Cara is an A-grade babe. As well as having kick-ass attitude, personality and a sense of humour, Miss Delevingne is the go to IT girl of the new generation. And it looks like we’re not the only ones loving Cara either, Topshop has just appointed the British beauty as the solo face of their AW14 campaign.
Using solely one model to take the reigns of their campaign will be a first for the high-street giant. But note that this isn’t their first encounter with the über-model – Delevingne has walked the runway for multiple Topshop Unique shows at London Fashion Week. As for Cara herself, who started as model for ASOS, she will be going back to her high street roots – a massive change from her recent stunts in high fashion campaigns.
Of course, in the past years there’s always been your rebel IT girl from Tara Reid to Lindsay Lohan – but the twist with Cara is, she’s doing it in a way that makes us all way to be her rather than giving her our sympathy eyes. She’s the out of control, badass girl whose not just a model or actor but rather a brand that we all want to be a part of. She does what she wants, says what she wants & isn’t afraid to show the world who she is, rather than be who the world wants her to be.
Keep an eye out for images that will be used for the campaign for both print, outdoor and in-store advertising. If we’ve learnt anything from previous campaigns starring this wild child, we can expect to see something fun and very out-there! What a suitable match made in heaven for model and brand.
