Exciting news for people who like wearing sunglasses inside (and everyone going to Bluesfest). The already incredible lineup has just got even better, with ten new additions including the ‘original’ Blues Brothers. Thanks to the Bluesfest organisers who persuaded the Brothers to get back together for a one time exclusive Australian performance.
Amongst the acts there are also some awesome Aussie artists including The Cruel Sea singer Tex Perkins and Aria Hall of Fame member Russell Morris.
This is only about 70% of the 2016 bill so keep your eyes pealed as there are heaps more to come.
Other new artists include American Pie singer Don McLean, The Blind Boys of Alabama and East Journey.
So far some of the headliners include Kendrick Lamar, Astro and Mickey Virtue, Tom Jones, Melissa Etheridge, Brian Wilson, The Nationals, D’angelo and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.
This is one of the best and diverse blues line ups of all time and the location of the beautiful Byron Bay is just the icing on the cake. Getting really keen to grab a beer and see Kendrick Lamar, City and Colour, Brian Wilson, Cold War Kids and stacks of others.
So grab a harmonica, chuck on some sunnies and we’ll see you in Byron for the Easter long weekend.
